MSDN ACADEMIC ALLIANCE

The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science has bought the MSDNAA license for Microsoft software (including operating systems, Visual Studio, etc.) for the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. This means that faculty employees and students can legally use this software. The software distribution is managed by the ELMS

How to obtain free software through MSDN AA?

NOTE: You can use this offer if you are an Employee or Student of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the Opole University!The software is for home non-commercial use only (applies to Students)! This software (applies to Employees and PhD students) can be used only for scientific and didactic work (non-commercial and not profitable). They can be installed on both home and laboratory computers (also applies to computers in employee rooms in the UO). The desire to use the software in the workplace (in laboratories) must be notified to the MSDNAA administrator in advance!

How to create an account in MSDN AA?

Students

• Each student of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science automatically gets access to the MSDN AA platform when they start their studies. In order to use the free software you need to activate the account. Information on registration and activation is sent to the college email address of each student (e.g. 01234@student.uni.opole.pl). After completing the relevant data and completing the registration, the student receives access to Microsoft software under the MSDN AA license.

• Students who have been added to the students list later or for other reasons do not have access to the platform, please contact the MSDN AA administrator at msdn@uni.opole.pl .

  WARNING! Please send an email from the address of your student mail (student.uni.opole.pl).

Staff

• Please contact the MSDN AA administrator by e-mail at ms@uni.opole.pl , by phone (77 452 7229 w. 7229) or in person in room 107INF (1st floor, IT building).

Before sending an email informing you that you want to have an account in MSDN AA, you must read the text of the agreement MSDN and Annex to the MSDNAA agreement. The text is also available in room 107INF.

How to download software?

The software can be downloaded from the web site after logging in.
Software installation procedure on computers at the university.

• Laboratories: The person responsible for the laboratory declares their willingness to use the software in the laboratory. To do this, provide the administrator with the name of the laboratory, location (room number), the exact name of the software to be installed (previously downloaded) as well as the number of computer workstations and inventory numbers of computers.

• Staff rooms: The person appointed by the institute management declares its willingness to install the software.
  To do so, provide: the name of the person responsible for the computer, room number, computer inventory number, and the exact name of the software to be installed.
